Dodge County short of funds and is considering borrowing and raising tax levy

Dodge County Advocates the Constitutional Rights of Citizens. This re-affirms their personal Oath of Office which is being neglected.
Resolution passed

Resolution 20-15
Grant money for Covid 19 Response, which is reimbursed AFTER it is spent, up to $870,023.00.
Resolution passed, even though spending will be occurring until end of December. Very little incentive to stay in budget if your hand is out for "free" money.
Jeff Berres voted NO
Resolution 20-21
"Covid 19 only" qualified funding GRANT to perform many county projects that were scheduled in upcoming years but now can possibly get them done under COVID 19 and more "free" money.
Resolution passed.
J. Schmitt, Guckenberger, Kemmel, Berres and Houchin voted NO.
It was so typical, unfortunately, to see government scrambling for GRANT money, acting like it is free, yet we know it comes out of our State Tax dollars. It was disappointing to see the majority of Supervisors wink at more spending with no mention of any over-all saving money, thinking that since the state will allow the County to increase the tax levy it would be almost foolish not to do so. There is a disconnect very evident from these actions. We thank the Supervisors for their NO votes.
