This is "FREE in Dodge", a place for everyone within the public arena and in elected/appointed government positions of government within Dodge County to meet and converse, each doing a part to make and keep our county a place where Freedom and Rights are Enjoyed by Everyone - "FREE"!
We plan to track issues on many levels of government with your help, discussing and making recommendations regarding government policy and issues to ensure they are constitutionally sound and fiscally responsible.
The highest responsibility and priority of elected or appointed officials of government is to support our Federal and State constitutions as evidenced by their personal or by their supervisory Oath of Office. Elected and appointed officials of government are required by Federal law to protect our God-given and constitutionally protected guaranteed rights as they conduct government business. See 42 U.S.C. 1983 and Title 18 241, 242 for more details.
We are seeing our present governmental policies becoming instruments of oppression rather than of freedom. We desire to work with our government officials to correct this dark and dangerous trend.
The conscious awareness of an elected or appointed officials' responsibility to support our constitutions has become clouded and at times non-existent, mostly by default but sometimes by intention, and we need to bring it forward again to its rightful place. Our public officials MUST guard our freedoms and rights as they govern or these freedoms and rights will be lost through bad government policy.
We are committed to smaller government because as government grows in size its power over the citizens increases exponentially. We desire to reverse this trend so as to return, to "we the people", opportunities to enjoy our unalienable rights, among which are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
We are also, in part, a group of concerned citizens who will, if necessary, become active to the point of competing for a position of local government currently held by another who may be uncooperative and resistant to our right and noble efforts, then working with other officials who do have like mind and goals.
This is a cooperative effort from beginning to end, all of us working together to be a county that is constitutionally sound and fiscally responsible, and in that order.
Please join us in this effort today.
Thank you,
Dan Siegmann
